1. The UK enter as a team, no individual entries will be accepted by the UK.
2. Applications to join the CaniX Team UK are open to anyone (but selection not guaranteed).
3. From applications received, team members are selected from all levels and abilities. We choose team members based on the team as a whole (not an individual's ability) to create a strong, unified, supportive team that are proud to represent our country, Team sponsors and the CaniX Team UK - with good sportsmanship. This approach creates an atmosphere where individuals excel and achieve personal bests.
4. The closing date for UK applications to join the CaniX Team UK and the European Championships is May/June. Over the summer, Team sponsors are found, Team kit ordered, press days and PR shoots planned and a Team Training Camp laid on with activities to further strengthen the Team. All Team members are required to attend these activities to promote and support Team sponsors and the CaniX Team UK. If you cannot attend the Training Camp below, you can still join the team but there will be a penalty to acknowledge the commitment others have made to promote the event, sponsors and team (the only exception will be made for members of the Armed Services stationed overseas, police and volunteers working at the London Olympics on 4 and/or 5 August ONLY - in all cases an official letter from your superior stating your commitment on the 4 and/or 5 August will be required asking for you to be excused from attending the Training Camp).
4+5 August 2012 – CaniX Team UK Training Camp
Venue: Pembrey Country Park, Pembrey, South Wales
For those who wish to make a holiday out of the Training Camp
(long weekend, full week, or anything in between),
we have arranged
camping from Sunday 29 July to Monday 6 August.
5. All CaniX Team UK members must hold a current CaniX UK membership for the 2012-2013 season (available in April 2012).
