We are excited to return to Delamere following a prolonged absence, and have a brand new course in the quieter, but beautiful Whitefields area of the forest.   The Trail is through a mixture of broad leaf and pine, taking in some of the distinctive and rare Meres and mosses that this unique forest has to offer.  The course starts from the whitefields car park and twists and turns through the forest, on a mixture of hard pack trail, sandy forest floor, and technical single track.  It will test not only speed but also the dog control of those chasing podium places whilst offering those who prefer a more sedate pace some interesting and enjoyable running.  Two Dog teams are strongly encouraged to use a neck-line.

The Whitefields Car Park offers ample space, and has portable toilet facilites.  Please note there is no cafe at Whitefields.  The cafe can be found at the main visitor centre, just a short 10 minute walk through the forest.  Runners and spectators might find it easier to take this option rather than drive to the visitor centre, which has limited car parking and is extremely busy with families and Go Ape visitors.  Care should be taken when crossing Station Road.

CAMPING:  On Site camping at Whitefields can be offered only to Marshals.  (no tents, awnings, windbreaks, metal free standing pens must be kept to a minimum size and positioned between vehicles)  ALL MUST BE SELF SUFFICIENT WITH WATER AND SANTITATION.  All rubbish, must be taken home with you.  There is no toilet drop facility.   COMPETITORS:  There are an abundance of campsites within the forest, a quick google search brought up 22 in the locality to chose from.  The closest of these is the Caravan and Camping Club site which is located just a few hundred metres from Whitefields Car Park, and is within easy walking distance. There is abundance of space in the car park should campers wish to drive across.
