* Special offer is only open to those adults who have an entry in the main race. The Have-a-go class is run after the main race.   It is timed, but does not feature in prize giving and is not awarded points in the CaniX National Championship.  At this event the course will be the same as the main race or slightly shortened. 

Camping per unit per night max. 6 persons per pitch.  Please note a unit is a single accommodation - tent, caravan or motorhome irrelevant of size.  All camping units must be self sufficient with their own toilet and wash facilities; a portapotti style camping toilet in a separate toilet tent is acceptable.   There are toilets and  a toilet drop on site 

The Summer Splash is reknown as a fun event that entertains all members of the family;  the racing is off to an early start to avoid the temperatures and is over a shorter 3km course. As at any of our events, you may run dogless should temperatures be unsuitable for your dog.  The course follows the main Box End track along the banks of the river Ouse intially before turning at the top of the boat lake and returning lakeside to the finish.   In addition to this there will be water placed on the course for dogs.  Runners are encouraged to also carry additional water.   The terrain is flat, on grassy trails.   Suitable for beginners and experienced canicrossers.   

This year we are very excited to Team up with Tri Dog to offer you the a training camp to take place at the Tri Dog venue.  Taking place after the CaniX race on Saturday we will deliver an itinerary training to cove Swim-Bike, Bike Run transitions, Tackling the technical section of the bikejor course in an accompanied ride (not dogs), and a session on Swimming with dogs.  (please note that due to temperatures, with the exception of the swimming session, we expect that this training will be undertaken dogless)  Training camp is open to over 18s only.  Participants taking part in the accompanied trail ride must have a helmet and bike in good working order.  

For those not participating in the Training camp our traditional  swimming with dogs sessionwill only be made available if we have spare capacity. This will be priced at £6 and will be bookable via CaniX.  

 All swimmers must wear a wetsuit (BYO), and pick up after their dogs. Dogs must be on a lead at all times.  All swimmers (human) must be competent swimmers. Note there is no lifeguard present at this location and you SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.    Dogs swimming are also expected to be attached to runner via belt or hand held lead at all times.  

Box End is fabulous venue to spend the weekend, either relaxing or making the most of the watersports available on site.  These can be booked via their website HERE 

Saturday night will also be host to our traditional Summer Splash Social.  All participants are welcome to join us at the event shelter.

• Race office opens, bib collection: from  7:30 (please not for those not camping the main gates will not open before 07:30)
• Race briefing:  08:00
• Race start:    08:30 all adult classes  09:00 have a go, and cubs & juniors after the main race.  
• Tri Dog Training Camp workshops will take place between 10am and 1600
• Prizegiving: Sunday only time TBC
