Startline camping: Priority for Marshals and race officials. Space is limited. Motorhomes and Caravans only. You must have your own toilet and wash facilities. There is no Water available. For those wanting full facilities there are campsites available in the forest including those which offer pods and lodges.
We are excited to be invited to return to the Forest of Dean, and have a fantastic course awaiting you. For those that have run at this venue before we have had a slight change to avoid a sensitive area and have remodelled for 2025 to avoid the busy area of Mallards pike and return the distance to 5km. Starting just below the New Fancy View parking area, you will head immediately into technical single track before opening out onto wider, grassy forest trail. The course meanders through the area using a variety of surfaces, including hardpack, grassy trail and some sections directly through the plantations. Whilst not particularly hilly, this course remains a technical challenge, that will test runners in all aspects of cani-cross, including dog handling, control of pace and race strategy. For those, who like to take more time it offers a lovely variety of trail and views through the forest. As the trail is likely to be wet and muddy trail shoes with a high level of grip are strongly recommended. The Short course utilises the same start as the 5km but then offers less technical challenge, though it too will use a range of surfaces to complete the course.
PLEASE PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED TIME FOR A TECHNICAL 5KM ROUTE TO ENABLE US TO SEED THE START ORDER HERE
