Do I need to be a member of CaniX UK?
No, but being a member makes your entry fees cheaper as well as many other benefits.

How do I know if my entry has been received?
- If you pay online you receive an electronic receipt immediately for the amount you pay.
- If you pay by cheque/post you will receive directions (via email) a couple of days before race day as confirmation (those who pay online also recieve this email).
- If you do not have an email address, please send a stamped (1st class) SAE.

Course briefing is at 9.30am and the race starts at 10.30am.

Is it a mass start?
No, runners start at intervals of between 10 to 30 seconds.

The standard CaniX is as close to 5km and 2.5km as possible. Due to the nature of cross country trails, this can vary and sometimes be slightly less or more.

No you can run with a collar and lead and see how you go.

Why do you wear a belt and the dog a racing harness?
The belt and line plus racing harness removes all the shocks from your body and your dogs body making for a comfortable run and allows the dog to pull from the strong chest muscles and not be dragged by the neck.

My dog doesn't pull, do I still need all this gear?
No if your dog runs to heel and there is no pull on the line/collar, then you don't need all the gear, but the belt allows you run hands free.
