Laser biathlon rifles

CLICK HERE for review on our laser rifles by Holly Rees-Lay.

The laser biathlon rifles used at our events (included in the entry fee) are similar to the one below. These stocks are used by the National Russian Biathlon Team. Many of the worlds top biathletes use these laser rifles for training and coaching. They look and feel identical to a real biathlon rifle.

The laser rifles are 100% safe – they use Class 2 laser technology (which is used in presentation pointer pens and supermarket checkouts). A person receiving an eye exposure from a Class 2 laser beam, either accidentally or as a result of someone else’s deliberate action (misuse) will be protected from injury by their own natural aversion response. This is a natural involuntary response which causes the individual to blink and avert their head thereby terminating the eye exposure.

A firearms licence or training is not required

The biathlon targets (below) react like a real biathlon target changing from a black circle to white with a direct hit.

Training and practice

Training and shooting practice is provided to all competitors at no additional cost. This will take part before the race. Time will be dependant on the number of people with priority given to first time entrants who need training before they race. Arrive early so training/practice is not crammed in to 10mins before the race starts.
